Versatile Geotubes

TenCate Geosynthetics from America and the Netherlands have developed TenCate Geotubes. These are synthetic elongated bags which can be filled with sediment and sludge. Due to the filtering action of the material, the water runs out again, but the solid substance remains behind. As a result, for example, polluting substances can be securely packaged for storage. But it is also a great solution to strengthen dikes, dams and dunes, for there can be built upon. TenCate Geotubes can even be used as a foundation for a port area. To communicate its versatility, TenCate Geosynthetics asked C4Real to develop a visual content strategy for this.

Deliverable: Product Video

Client: TenCate

Technology: 3D Animation

Product is not photogenic

A concrete question from TenCate Geosynthetics was to show the possibilities and operation of Geotubes in a stimulating way. Until now, they communicated mainly with texts and photographs. However, this did not work out. The product does not look beautiful and is mainly used in dirty conditions, so functionality is paramount. The story behind it is very strong and that calls to be visualized.

Communicate consistently

In order to be able to communicate well what TenCate Geotubes are and are able to do, we have reconstructed various situations in 3D. Think of water filter plants, mining situations, a port under construction, a bridge and an island under construction... all kinds of applications that are recognizable to the target group. From the animations we then made 3D stills that are used on the website. TenCate Geosynthetics therefore continues to communicate consistently and the entire story becomes clear to the target group that does not yet know the TenCate Geotubes product.
